Everyone asks me for something new… something different… something innovative… something cool.
Bullpen found the answer and we’ll be featuring products from this New York cutting edge company. Just when you think you’ve seen it all – someone changes the rules of the game. I’ve seen literally thousands of lunch totes and this by far stands out as the best. I’m sure you’ll be seeing it at some point in the Museum of Modern Art. (more…)
At least once a day someone asks me what’s the latest, greatest promotional product… oh yeah… it has to be functional, look expensive, make the recipient think of my company AND be dirt cheap. Here are two great ideas that I am currently using and loving:
#1 – Mobile Phone Charging Station
Every now and then someone comes out with a cool, simple, smart product that you look at and say, “duh… why didn’t I think of that?”.
Yup. It’s possible with the clothing line Alternative Earth by Alternative. These “freethinkers” (as they consider themselves) combine the fashionably hip with the socially conscious by using organic cotton, recycled polyester and rayon from naturally occurring polymers. They also use natural or low-impact dyes containing no toxic chemicals or heavy metals and wash methods that reduce water usage from traditional usage. But wait—there’s more! One percent of Alternative Earth sales go to charities such as the Wildlife Trust and the Gulf Restoration Network. Can’t you just feel the Earth-love?
Everyone is always asking me – “What’s the newest and coolest promotional product? Or the latest greatest giveaway? Or something awesome and techie?” My new favorite old promotional product actually dates back to somewhere around the sixth century BC – a book! What better gift to give an employee (to motivate, train, show appreciation, new hire gift), client (as a gift or to show appreciation) or prospect than the gift of a book. Books are great giveaways for events and parties as well – they reinforce an event’s meaning or location creating long lasting memories. And not just any book.
Have you ever walked into a restaurant and sat down only to find that there was no place to hang your purse? Leaving it on the table cramps the already small dining space that’s given, and just the mere thought of placing it on the bacteria ridden floor send chills up my spine. That’s why I was elated to see a clever little contraption that put’s and end to this problem.
Everywhere you look these days, we’re being bombarded by words like: green, eco or earth friendly, enviroconscious. Is going green hype or here to stay? Green is the new low-fat and this blogger thinks it’s here to stay
So what does green actually mean other than the obvious? Okay yes, it’s a color or to be more precise, it’s an additive primary color. My 4 year old would tell me it’s a mixture of yellow and blue. Green is closely related to the Old English verb growan or “to grow”. Back in the 80’s it was popular to call money “green”. Green topics are on the covers of most magazines and newspapers around the country, yet everyone struggles with the definition.
It doesn’t get any better than this. Opie Taylor pulling his red wagon through the streets of Mayberry. This retro cargo mover is big enough for business cards, paper clips, coins, candy, or a few crumbs of Aunt Bee’s tasty apple pie. Metal construction with rubber wheels provide durability and speed that would impress both Gomer and Goober Pyle. Pricing ranges from about $4.00 to $4.45 per wagon.
Like most people, I feel coffee is an integral part of my day. If you throw in a sunrise, I’m in heaven!
Check out this promotional coffee mug that mixes the comfort of your favorite hot beverage with a new-age, color-changing cup. Pricing usually ranges from $5 to $12 per mug. What a great gift for employees and clients!
So Bullpen got this sample in the mail – and it’s crazy! It’s actually hanging on my office wall as I type. One of our manufacturers now makes a frame – yes, just a normal picture frame – that is made out of recycled sunflower hulls! I kid you not! It even smells like them!
The manufacturer calls it “Dakota Burl.” Apparently that is supposed to be more seductive than “mashed up seeds.” ; ) I like it, though! The patterning does resemble burled wood. It’s hanging on my wall due to the sheer novelty. =)
The same manufacturer has another really cool item – a set of coffeetable coasters made from “biocomposite” – which is nothing more than recycled newspapers!
They’re elegant and mod – they totally remind me of a San Francisco loft.
